I don’t know, there is a lot of insecurity because you don’t know what to expect, the lifestyle is different. Personally, i would not go or advice anybody to go. I hear they even give a very small percentage of the actual pay.
3rd year student of business administration.
To a certain extent it is good because many people are uneducated and yet they like to hustle especially girls. There is uncertainty as i always hear about the treatment but I would try going especially with a trusted company.

First of all, are the people taking them from government? If they are not, then I think it is not a good idea. There are many bad cases every day in the news. But people want better lives that’s why they always go. I could go if it were the government sending people.
2nd Year Student, Human Resource Management.
I can’t go to the Middle East to do odd jobs like housekeeping, after all the stories i hear everyday about the bad treatment. If i am given a job in my field and i am qualified i can reconsider but I rather would not go. First of all the lifestyle is very different and they would like you to dress like them. For me, i can’t put on my rosary freely so i am better off here in Uganda even with no job. May be a house keeping job in Europe or Canada but not Qatar.

Its good and bad, people who are unqualified have a chance also to work like maids or security guards. It is bad because the companies cheat people, instead of paying the rightful amount agreed upon, they exploit the workers by paying less. It’s better to earn less than work hard and be cheated.

Ladies who work in these Arab countries are most times tortured physically and sexually. Ugandans are considered prostitutes by the men, so they demand for your body all the time especially the maids and as a result it creates conflict between the lady abused and the wife of the boss and this has on many occasions led to death. When someone dies, her death is concealed or the body is burnt. Even the companies which take the girls out start to demand for money to transport the body back home which is very expensive for the people back home.
