Reform Vs Status Quo And Fearful Speculations

Despite adequate lessons in political education; it remains a nightmare to enjoy and positively embrace politics
especially in the continent of Africa. Party politics and elections are often marred with bloodshed, violence and war. No lesson has yielded satisfactory results particularly in African nations. Henry Makori, a Kenyan journalist based in Nairobi reports on circumstances surrounding Kenyan elections slated for March this year Gacheke Gachehe wants to be the first Member of Parliament for the new Mathare Constituency in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi. Mathare, one of the biggest and lowliest slums in the city, has about half-amillion people, with 90,000 registered voters. The area was recently hit by communal violence that claimed the lives of seven people.
