This time last year 2022, this page must have ushered you into the year. It is also from here that we made a pronouncement to go bi-monthly. We must acknowledge that the Lord has been faithful in all ways throughout the year, We must also acknowledge humanly that although the road was not smooth; it did not deter us from veering ahead till the end of the year. We want to thank God for the strides made and for the experience He granted us in 2022. In a special way, we would like to thank you for standing by us and making our work possible; the communion we shared knowing that we have a family of readers. More than anything else, we give glory to God for the grace he has rendered to each one of us to witness to this new dawn, 2023. As we start this new dawn, we may not state that we have resolved to do better; because one
may ask, which better? Neither can we ultimately promise to do our best. We however, assure you dear reader that we will be more present and serve you diligently according to the will of God.
There could be so many hiccups already even at the start of this year. However, we would like to encourage you all to keep holding onto the promises of God, meditating on the word of God in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come, the old has gone, the new is here! As we embark on this journey in 2023, let us continue to be open to the surprises God has in store for us; learning, re-learning, discovering and rediscovering.
As the Church, we pledge to do better to uplift our communities; to be more present and be witnesses of God’s love wherever we are placed, trusting in God’s divine guidance and providence. We hope in the miracles of the year as we imitate the shepherds who did not hesitate but who went in haste to see the child Jesus. Pope Francis invites us all to hope in the due guidance of Mother Mary, who gives us hope, so that we
are able “to rediscover, in the enthusiasm of going and the wonder of seeing, the secret that can make this year truly ‘new’. We pray that the will of God may prevail in all that we do.
Wishing you a peaceful and blessing filled-year, 2023
